Parkinson’s is caused by a loss of nerve cells in the part of the brain called the substantia nigra. Nerve cells in this part of the brain are responsible for producing a chemical called dopamine.

There are many symptoms for Parkinson’s but it almost always starts with a tremor in one hand. A few other symptoms are slow movement, stiffness, and loss of balance.

As the disease progresses, people may have difficulty walking and talking. They may also have mental and behavioral changes, sleep problems, depression, memory difficulties, and fatigue.

Medications such as, dopamine promoter, antidepressant, cognition-enhancing medication, and anti-tremor. Physical exercise can also help improve cardiovascular health.
